First Impressions

VISUAL: A child somewhere between the age of 9-12, small-boned and large-eyed, frequently grungy and somewhat dirty, unkempt hair, worn clothing, and the occasional tear and bloodstain.
FASHION: Whatever she can get her dirty little hands on. Fond of jackets and things with pockets, frequently in possession of a backpack. Sunglasses are also extremely common, even at night or in areas with low lighting. Bright colors and soft blues are a plus. Strangely, her shoes always seem to have a hole in the toe.
DEMEANOR: Quiet, extremely still, and always surveying the scene.
SOUND: Very high pitched, Latin American accent.
SCENT: Dirt, blood, not much soap. Characters with particularly good senses of smell may pick up a hint of metal, especially around her hands (and, if uncovered, feet).
MENTAL INFORMATION: Laura has no real mental blocks, and her mind is a cacophony if predatory instinct, fear and suspicion. Digging deeper will find traumatic memories. For more detail, let me know your character is about to dig in, and I'll let you know exactly what your character would see.

OOC

BACKTAGGING: Go for it. I tend to be pretty fast, but I don't mind tagging with people of any speed or style.
FOURTHWALLING: Sure, I guess.
PHYSICAL AFFECTION: You're welcome to try, but expect deadly force if you sneak up on her fast or don't know her super well. She's more accustomed to fighting than hugging and will assume one before the other.
PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Please! If you don't mind the idea of a prepubescient kid using deadly force and getting kind of torn up in the process, neither do I. I love fighting threads, violence, etc, but don't want to spring it on anybody who wouldn't be okay with seeing a little kid in the thick of it. As for severity, I'd prefer no killing (she can only be killed by decapitation, being shot in the head, or drowning; that's it) or chopping off limbs larger than toes or fingers; otherwise, we're good.
RELATIONSHIPS: Absolutely no shipping. That said, I love surrogate parent CR, adult friend CR (she needs role models and people who make her feel normal, even if they're not 'adopting' her; I love unconventional found families but don't expect anything to be all white picket fences and home for dinner), superhero shenanigans (positive or negative), rivals, god, I love it all.

Wishlist & Notes

CANONMATES: Since Laura meets very few characters in her own canon, I'm down for anyone in the X-Men Movie Universe! I love her with Logan and Charles obviously (and I would love love love love to do any threading with any timeline version of Logan or Charles at literally any time, seriously), her meeting the other X-Men is a bucket list goal. In particular, I think she'd get along extremely interestingly with Magneto (any canonpoint), Nightcrawler, Jean, Cyclops, and Rogue. That said, I'm up for anything.
COMICS: I'm not 100% up on Marvel comics, but I'm a big fan of Remender's Uncanny X-Force and anything Jason Aaron's ever done (huge surprise, I know), so anybody from there is a dream come through. I may be willing to commit a felony for the chance to thread off a Melita Garner. Special mentions go to: Daken, time displaced anybody (but especially Scott), any X-Men, Gabrielle (!!!), Jean Grey (any flavor), Emma Frost, Evan Sabahnur. That said, again, I love any and all comics canon mixups with the movieverse and am down for anything.
CROSSCANON: I have a not-so-secret love for batfam, DC characters are welcome in general, likewise any unusual mix and matches are welcome. I love creative shit, go for it. Dad figures, fellow science projects, superheroes of all stripes, and anything you're willing to try. Come at me.
AUS: I'm not super into AUing Laura's base characterization, since she's so young it'd change her entire character into someone completely different, and I want to play her, y'know? That said, I am super fond of post-movie, suddenly-Laura-ends-up-in-an-alternate-universe crosscanon shenanigans. I'm also a big fan of postapocalyptic and dystopian survival scenarios.
MISC: I'd like to preserve the funeral scene in the film (both.... of them....) because they're important to Laura's development, but if you want a SHOCKING TWIST where Logan crawls out of the grave later, or Charles contacts her from the comatose man he uploaded his brain into, I'm down. Things happening mid-film are good too.

In short: go crazy, I'm probably open to anything if I didn't directly say otherwise above. If you're worried, drop me a line! You can reach me @ [plurk.com profile] wehwalt or PM, w/e w/e, or just jump in head first, I'm cool with it either way, I promise.
